I have watch a documentary the other night, where they say that in the near future everything will be done over the internet, like a virtual world. Basically everyone will not have to leave their homes.

All business meetings can be done through a virtual boardroom.

This can work, but I think that humans are energetic and affectionate and therefore required the human touch.

Second Life was a fun application of this idea.


A virtual world would be useful to save time and money, but it would wreck the social needs of the person. We would all become too isolated.
